We currently have a young lady with us who is thinking about completing an apprenticeship in our office. Here are a few impressions of her:
By chance, my mum found an advert for an apprenticeship at SFS. I myself got to know the company at primary school. I was able to get to know the company better at a job interview and then we arranged taster days.
On my first taster day, on 18 May 2022, I was able to gain some experience in the office. The main programme in the office, Sage, was a bit complicated at first, you have to remember a lot of numbers, but the interface is very clear and a lot of things are repeated, so I'm confident that I'll soon master this part.
I was then able to familiarise myself with the products I had just recorded, many of which I had never seen before. However, the product presentations on the computer are very different from the real thing, which was a bit confusing. There are many different parts with different effects.
The time recording system is also surprisingly interesting, and I was given an insight into it; you know a lot about the employees. However, this software is complicated.
This was followed by an internal task: ordering food. I was allowed to select and order food for the company from a large online catalogue.
But my favourite part was the company tour, I think it's very cool that almost all these parts are produced and assembled here. It was also great to meet everyone. The big machines really impressed me.
On the 2nd day, I was given further insights into the software for entering orders and was able to talk to an employee about her experiences with regard to apprenticeship + Matura.
This was followed by insights into marketing. I'm excited to see what else is in store for me.
