Stop valves are used in industrial applications to carry out fast positioning and stop functions and to implement emergency stop circuits.
These stop valves are screwed directly into the cylinder instead of the hose connections and only allow the compressed air to flow from inlet 1 to outlet 2 if a control signal is present at control connection 12. If this control signal is no longer present, e.g. due to a line break, the compressed air flow is immediately blocked and the cylinder is stopped in the current position.
For applications in the food industry, packaging industry or in systems that come into contact with aggressive cleaning products, these stop valves are made of stainless steel. The range of applications for stainless steel stop valves can also be extended to high-temperature applications by using FKM seals.
