Pneumatic time delay valve

A time delay valve converts an incoming signal with a time delay.

The pneumatic time delay valves from SFS are used in circuits and systems for the precise control of pneumatic signals and combine the function of a 3/2-way valve and a time delay unit.

The switching delay is realised via an adjustable throttle disc and a volume to be filled.

Depending on the connection of the 3/2-way valve, you have an NO (normally open) or an NC (normally closed) variant.

Function NC:

The valve output is switched with a delay of the set time after compressed air is applied.

Function NO:

The valve outlet is already open when compressed air is applied and is closed after the set time.

The different types with setting ranges of 0-30, 0-10, 0-3 seconds allow good adjustability of the switching delay.

Time delay valves are mostly used in purely pneumatic circuits such as press controls. They are also used in areas where no electricity is available or where electricity cannot be used for reasons of explosion protection.
