25.04. was GIRLS' DAY and we were part of it again!
We have been supporting GIRLS' DAY for several years now, presenting our company every year and providing interesting insights into the apprenticeship as a mechanical engineering technician. We see GIRLS' DAY as a great initiative to encourage more young women to choose an apprenticeship in the field of technology.
This time, two students visited us and enthusiastically took a tour of the company and were given an introduction to the profession. Afterwards, they were given a closer look at the machines and the girls were allowed to try their hand at bending, cutting, grinding and measuring wire. In order to give an overview of the learning effort and an assessment of the current level of knowledge, a small math quiz was then carried out.
We were very pleased with the great interest and the fantastic cooperation. Many thanks to the organizers and participants. We hope we were able to give you a lot of insight and are already looking forward to next year!

GIRLS' DAY is an offer for girls and young women who are about to choose a career. It brings schoolgirls closer to the world of work and draws their attention to the wide range of career opportunities. Since girls and women are still very underrepresented in apprenticeships and academic studies in mathematics, IT, natural sciences and technology (MINT) and crafts. Which is also noticeable in the companies, because they are increasingly lacking qualified young people in these areas. GIRLS' DAY is intended to encourage girls to turn to professions in which the proportion of women has so far been low. Companies and educational institutions therefore open their doors on GIRLS' DAY and give girls an insight into technical, manual and scientific careers. These future professions offer much higher income and career opportunities and thus more chances and development opportunities.
