What began as the first company building has developed into a successful base for the development and production of special pneumatic solutions.
“The aim was always to establish development, production and assembly in Tyrol. We are from the area ourselves and wanted to strengthen the region,” emphasizes Franz Staudacher, Managing Director of SFS Fluidsysteme GmbH. “The relocation to Polling was one of the most formative and important steps in our company’s history.”
At the time, the municipality of Polling had just dedicated an industrial zone and put it out to tender. A correspondingly large area was secured there for future expansion, providing long-term planning security.
In retrospect, the location proved to be ideal. Located away from the daily traffic jams around Innsbruck, it offers ideal proximity to the railroad, which is particularly important for employees from Innsbruck and apprentices who rely on public transport. It has always been important to the management to give the local population the best possible consideration for jobs, which has contributed to a strong connection to the region.
Employee commitment was the key to success right from the start. “When the new building was being planned, everyone was asked if they liked the plans. I liked that. You were always able to get involved,” recalls Roland Mohrherr, Head of Production.
The site has developed continuously since its beginnings and offers excellent conditions for further growth. Today, it comprises three buildings with over 4000m² of operating space. “Back then, we never thought that big trucks would come to us,” recalls Rainer Jäger, Head of Assembly, with a smile.
We look back proudly on 25 years and look forward to many more years of innovation and growth in Polling. With strong ties to the region and the continuous pursuit of excellence, we are continuing our success story.
