Milestones of our success

In the beginning, there was our founder Otto Staudacher’s unconditional passion for technology. After two decades as an extremely successful distributor of technical components, he fulfilled his heart’s desire in 1992: by founding SFS-Fluidsysteme, he developed special pneumatic solutions for the first time. The three-man operation of yesteryear has since developed into an internationally active family business with around 50 employees. Only one thing has remained the same: the passion with which we reliably find special solutions for the problems and needs of our customers.

Foundation in Zirl-Dirschenbach

Otto Staudacher founded SFS-Fluidsysteme as a three-man operation in a rented facility in Zirl-Dirschenbach. His declared goal: to creatively develop and manufacture his own pneumatic control elements and thus serve the needs of customers.

1999

Spatial and sales expansion

After difficult early years, the company grew steadily from the mid-1990s onwards, and soon the site in Dirschenbach was too small. Otto Staudacher found a suitable plot of land in Polling, where he built the first company building of his own.

He also expanded in terms of sales by founding SFS Germany with two partners in Esslingen.

2000
Produktion-SFS
First own CNC machine

Independence has always been important to Otto Staudacher. That's why he bought his first own CNC machine in 2000 to produce individual parts in-house. This enabled SFS to react even faster to customer requests - an important step towards more growth.

2003
SFS-Lehrausbildung
SFS becomes an apprenticeship company

Well trained employees are essential to our success. That's why SFS has also been an apprentice company since 2003, when the first apprentice began his training as a mechanical engineering technician. Since then, several young talents have started their careers at SFS.

2007
SFS-Bau
Extension in Polling

Once again, production and assembly reached their spatial limits. Otto Staudacher built another factory building and thus tripled the operating space, including additional production machines. One year later, his eldest son Franz strengthened the management team with his know-how.

2009
World economic crisis

The global economic crisis of 2008/2009 was felt by SFS with a delay. Through appropriate and forward-looking measures, such as a massive increase in the share of in-house production of CNC parts and acyclical investments, the entire team was retained and SFS was able to emerge strengthened from the crisis.

2011
Spin-off of solenoid valve division

In 2011, SVS-Automation GmbH was founded at the Polling site, pushing the fast growing product area of "solenoid valves".  From this point on, SVS-Automation took over the development as well as the production and distribution of solenoid valves worldwide.

2014
SFS-Preisverleihung
Change of managing director and award

In 2014, Otto Staudacher handed over the management to his son Franz and dedicated himself to the further development of SVS. For their particularly high social competence, SFS was awarded the prestigious Jakob Gapp Prize by the Catholic Church.

2014

Location development

With the construction of the third company building, SFS expanded the premises for CNC production, warehouse and research and development to 4150m² of operating space. An important basis for the further growth of the company, which now employs 40 people.

2017
Zeitleiste-Produktion-2017
Expansion of the CNC machine park

In order to meet the steadily increasing demand, the machinery was systematically developed with three large CNC machines. This enabled SFS to manufacture faster and more cost-efficiently with new technologies.

2019
SFS-Messe
Family business in second generation

Hansjörg joined SFS in technology and sales in 2016, and his brother Michael followed in the SFS management team in 2019. Together, all three of Otto Staudacher's sons are now continuing to write the history of the family business with around 50 employees.

2020

Corona Pandemic

The global Corona pandemic also led to a decline in sales for SFS, but this was well cushioned and ultimately all employees were retained. The free capacities were invested in strategic projects as well as in the area of employee retention and development. In 2020, SFS was certified with the "Top Company Award" for high employee satisfaction for the second time.
